The time to move has come - YIPEEE - and I should be packing the few things that made their way out of boxes instead of writing this, but, oh well.
My new dugout isn't exactly my dream but it is safe, clean, quiet and only a block from a public beach. There are four single women living all in a row, in between giant and beautiful homes. The main thing is that there is plenty of room, and it has a garage. Also, there is little up keep to distract me from the rest of life. It is simple. Now wasn't that what this move was all about - simplicity - to take the strain off of myself?
But the coolest thing is that a friend of mine is giving me a wonderful bed and living room set. I'll have furniture! Stuff that actually matches and isn't falling apart. Everything is falling into place and turning out much better than I could've hoped for.
Oh, did I tell you this? Another friend leant me a road bike! A totally nice one - sexy even. I wasn't sure that my body could take it, and am still cautiously optimistic, but it seems to be working well so far. Except that my butt hurts. Yeeouh! It is so much easier to hop on the bike than it is to get into the car - as long as I'm not trying to pack my camera along. And you would be amazed at how far I can go on that thing, and in relative safety. There are biking trails out here, which are the hubbub of activity. The trail goes out along the lake - how is that for scenery? But I hop on the bike and am at my destination in what seems like seconds. So, we are having fun, smiling, laughing and having a life.
Okay, now it is time to move!
I see your life, like those beautiful dogwoods, unfolding as the universe has planned.
be safe

May your future be as beautiful as your photos are today!

I would call that a dream home.

Love the pic... the colors are so incredibly vibrant! Wouldn't you know a dogwood (state flower of my VA home) would lure me in!!
